Enjoy
early booking specials and group discounts aboard the Caribbean
Explorer II. This 106 ft. motorized live aboard ship cruises
from Phillipsburg, St. Maarten, and Basseterre, St. Kitts,
alternating ports every week. The vessel embarks Saturday
afternoons at 3 pm after all guests arrive. Stops are
made in St. Kitts, Saba, Statia and St. Martin.
Dive
sites range from 20 to 130 feet deep, with an abundant variety
of corals, fish, and marine life. Five dives daily, including
night dives, provide opportunities to observe, explore, and
photograph a pristine area. Water temperatures average 80
degrees, and visibility is 75-150 feet.
Passengers
can choose from both NAUI and PADI advance and specialty programs.
Seminars on underwater photography, camera repair, and diving
physiology are offered on specific weeks. Classes on marine
life identification and under water modeling are also available.
The
ship offers full service photo and dive departments, including
instruction, rentals, and E-6 film processing. Guests may
view their video footage on one of the onboard monitors, and
slides are easily viewed on large light tables installed in
the main salon. Most dive related equipment, including regulators,
BC's, dive computers, under water lights, and under water
photo/video equipment is available for rent on board. Meals
are delicious with made to order breakfast, freshly prepared
between-dive snacks, hot buffet or barbecue lunches and full
sit down dinners. A selection of beverages is available.
The
main level salon includes the galley, dining tables, television/VCR,
and a DVD video library. All interior areas of the vessel
are air conditioned. Aft of the cabins is an open air salon
with comfortable seating, stereo and wet bar. The open rear
deck is furnished with lounges for sun bathing.
All
cabins aboard the Caribbean Explorer have a private ensuite
bathroom with sink, vanity and shower.
Stateroom
1 on the Main Deck has a queen bed and window. Staterooms
2 and 3 on the Main Deck have a queeen bed with twin bunk
above and a window. Main Deck Stateroom 4 has two bunk beds
and a small window.
Lower
Deck Staterooms 5 and 6 have either one queen bed or two side-by-side
twin beds and porthole views. Lower Deck Stateroom 7 has one
double bed. Lower Deck Staterooms 8 and 9 have one queen bed
with a twin bunk above.
